The first meeting of the Working Group charged with setting up Ad Hoc Advisory Committees of the Consultative Council for local and central government was held on 19 February 2026. The Ad Hoc Advisory Committees will enable the formulation of joint proposals and positions by local governments and relevant line ministries on legal acts, policies and strategies ahead of the meetings of the Consultative Council. The aim is to support the local governments in the formulation of their positions in the framework of the inter-governmental dialogue.
The meeting was hosted by the Agency for Support to Local Government and attended by representatives from the Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Finance, the National Association of Municipalities of Albania, the Association of Regions together with EU4GG experts.
