In July 2024, under Component 3 “Support to Local Self Governance” of the EU4GG Project, the Key Expert Ms. Christina Wredberg visited the 6 pilot municipalities selected in cooperation with the Agency for Support to Local Self-Governance.
The selected pilot municipalities are Shkodër, Pukë, Divjakë, Berat, Përmet and Pogradec. During the visits the mayors were informed on the support to be provided by the project EU4GG to build the capacity of Local Governments to take on and carry out the key role assigned to them in the framework of Albania’s EU integration and accession process and increase their awareness of this role.
The first activity to be carried out by the EU4GG project is the update of the matrix of competences of the local government.
